Dublin’s Leading Coeliac Friendly Restaurant, O’Connells for over seven years now O’Connells has aspired to be Dublin’s leading Coeliac Friendly Restaurant. We bake our own gluten-free bread and most menu items are gluten-free. Coeliac Diners are just advised to ‘Ask for the Manager to take your order’. Coeliacs will be particularly pleased to know that O’CONNELLS’ Christmas menus also offer Gluten-free Stuffing and Gluten-Free Bread sauce.

O’Connells originally retained author and Gluten-free Cookery Expert, Rosemary Kearney to advise the its Chefs on catering for Coeliacs. Ms Kearney is co-author, with Darina Allen, of Healthy Gluten Free Eating published by Kyle Cathie 2004, in association with The Coeliac Society of Ireland. Ms Kearney has another book in print at present.

In the Autumn of 2009, as part of our 10 Year Celebrations, O’Connells will host a Coeliac Friendly Food Festival. Ms Kearney is once again joining our Chefs for the launch week-end to advise on dishes and impart her knowledge. All is food preparation is in kitchens where gluten is also used. Whilst every care is taken we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination might not occur.
